eiso Case Studies: using all eiso features in a range of situations

These examples show how a fictional company used eiso features to find materials, create management system documents, keep operational records and provide on-site training, by industry, standard and size. The topic (angle) of the case changes every day, and there are 12 in all.
Finding evidence through information collection · Building a document system from scratch · Creating one procedure · Improving quality with writing instructions and reference materials · Related forms and writing examples · Refining documents with completeness check results · Integrating documents for each standard into one · Revising documents for a new edition · Running a year with the 20 operation steps (two tracks) · Correcting nonconformities · Training materials to bring documents to the workplace · One flow from establishment to operation.
Each article includes what was entered in each field on screen, a preview of the output, tips for better results and "Check your own company too", so you can follow along as is. Below you can select by standard, size and industry.

  • Cases are written by AI based on the day's topics (standard revision schedules, anniversaries, weekday themes) and the management system materials compiled by AGENT, and are posted after review by AGENT staff.
  • Company and personal names are fictional, borrowed from historical figures, and have no relation to any real company or certification audit. Figures are examples; please check standard clauses and laws against the original text.
  • AGENT only helps you write documents with AI AX and does not guarantee certification results. Refining documents to a level that can be certified is your company's responsibility. The documents in the cases are depicted as created by the company itself with eiso features and reviewed and approved by the company.
  • To decide where to start, see the Management System Establishment Guide and the Management System Operation Guide; for what the output looks like, see the Management System Establishment and Management System Operation examples.

Company M — moving to ISO 9001:2026: revising existing documents with Standard Revision Response and adding new documents and forms

Date 2026-11-03 · Standard ISO 9001 · Size Small-medium (30–99 people) · Company M (fictional) · Views 4

The company diagnosed and revised 53 quality documents written to the 2015 edition (example) with Standard Revision Response, and obtained the new procedures and forms it needed through new-document establishment and Individual Document Development. The steps run from review, approval and operating records to the transition internal audit and management review.

Today’s situation

Angle: Updating documents for a revision — keep the documents you already have, move them to ISO 9001:2026, and develop the new documents and forms you now need

ISO 9001:2026 was published on 16 September 2026 as the sixth edition. Under the transition requirements of Global ACI (the body that brought together the former IAF and ILAC), certificates to the 2015 edition must be transitioned by 30 September 2029, and from 31 March 2028 new certificates are issued only to the 2026 edition. The transition takes place at a surveillance or recertification audit or at a separate transition audit; confirm the detailed schedule with your certification body.

  • Company M machines hydraulic parts for excavators and farm machinery on CNC lathes and machining centers. It has 62 people (example) and holds ISO 9001:2015 certification.
  • Its quality documents are 1 manual, 14 procedures, 6 work instructions and 32 forms (example), all written to the 2015 edition. Nobody had worked out which documents needed changing, or how much.
  • The Quality Manager led the project. The goal was not to rewrite from scratch but to change only what the revision affects.

Changes in the 2026 edition worth looking at (summary — check clauses and requirements against the published standard):

  • Stronger emphasis on quality culture and ethical behaviour in leadership, linked to people’s awareness.
  • Risks and opportunities are determined separately, with actions planned for each.
  • The 2024 addition (deciding whether climate change is a relevant issue) is now part of the main text.
  • Closer alignment with the harmonized structure, and a new Annex A that explains terms and the intent of requirements.

Do it this way on eiso

Stage 1 — Tidy up existing documents
  • Gather the quality documents in one folder and convert them to DOCX, XLSX or HWPX (save HWP and PDF files as DOCX). Make sure each document shows its document number and revision number.
  • Remove documents no longer used and duplicated old versions. This step alone removed 4 forms (example).
  • Put customer and supplier names in "Names to hide" in the next stage so they are replaced with ○○ before sending.
Stage 2 — Transition with Standard Revision Response
  • In Standard Revision Response, set "Target revision" to ISO 9001:2015 → ISO 9001:2026, "Integrate with current standards" to Do not integrate (revised standard only), "Industry" to "CNC machining of hydraulic parts, heat treatment outsourced, 62 people (example)", and under "To create together" pick Related forms, Form completion examples and Transition checklist.
  • Use "Select document folder" to choose the folder. No files are uploaded; the browser reads only the text. Click "Diagnose whole folder" and then "Write with AI" to receive a verdict for each document (revise, minor edit, keep, withdraw), the documents that must be newly established, and the order of work.
  • Starting with high-priority documents, click "Use for revision" to receive a revised version that keeps the current structure and numbering, marked 【Edited】 and 【Added】, together with its related forms. Untick any 【Optional】 items that do not fit, then use "Download as Word".
Stage 3 — Request the new documents and forms
  • For documents the diagnosis says must be newly established, change "Work scope" to Establish new document and enter the name in "Document name and number". Company M received a "Risk and opportunity management procedure QP-15", with a risk register form, an opportunity register form and filled-in examples.
  • For a document not on the list that the company still wants, use Individual Document Development: "Document type" Guidelines, "Related certification standards" ISO 9001, "Document name and number" "Quality culture and ethical behaviour guideline QG-07", and in "Characteristics and outline of the document": "a culture of reporting defects instead of hiding them, never altering inspection records, reporting channels, and what to cover in new-employee training".
Stage 4 — Review, approval, distribution and operating records
  • The quality team adapted the drafts to the shop floor, checked every "to be confirmed" mark against the published standard, and the CEO approved them. AI output is a reference draft; the company makes the final decisions.
  • Create a company workspace first (optional). In the Measuring Equipment and Documents Register, on the "Documents and records" tab, use "Read file names in folder" to import the list, then record each changed document with "Revise" and its new revision number. The register needs the workspace administrator’s operation pass (otherwise view only).
  • In Management System Operation, choose "Operation track" Economic prosperity, ISO 9001 as the standard, and "Operation step" Risk assessment to create records under the new procedure; the awareness-training lesson plan was made with Training Materials and Lesson Plans. The company operated this way for 3 months (example).
Stage 5 — Prepare for the transition audit
  • On the same screen, choose "Operation step" Internal audit, "Audit type" Pre-certification audit check, and under what to write pick internal audit plan and checklist, based on the 2026 edition. After the audit, enter the audit records to receive the report, and close each finding through to closure approval in the Nonconformity and Corrective Action Register.
  • At "Operation step" Management review, prepare the meeting with the input guide and readiness check and the management review checklist; after the meeting, enter the minutes to receive the results report, which the CEO approves.
  • Once the records, transition checklist and revision history are in place, the company schedules the transition audit with its certification body. eiso is a tool that helps with preparation and does not guarantee any certification outcome.

Preview of the result

  • QM-01 Quality manual Rev.7 — revise: quality culture and ethics, separating risks and opportunities, climate change decision, terms
  • QP-03 Context of the organization procedure Rev.2 — revise: add a step to decide and record whether climate change is relevant
  • QP-07 Training procedure Rev.4 — minor edit: include quality culture and ethical behaviour in awareness training
  • QP-09 Process control procedure Rev.5 — keep: change only the reference standard on the cover to 2026
  • QF-21 Risk assessment sheet — revise: separate columns for risks and opportunities
  • (New) QP-15 Risk and opportunity management procedure — determine separately, check actions and effectiveness
  • QF-41 Opportunity register: source (issue, interested party, customer requirement), opportunity, expected benefit, action plan, owner, due date, effectiveness check
  • Example entry: "Bid for parts of a customer’s new model — order opportunity if 5-axis machining capability is secured, owner: Production Manager, June 2027 (example)"
  • □ Risk register and opportunity register are operated separately
  • □ Whether climate change is relevant was decided and recorded in the context review
  • □ Training on revised documents and a 2026-edition internal audit and management review are complete

What to do next

Tips for better results

  • Align document and revision numbers before the diagnosis so the verdict table and revision history line up cleanly.
  • Put both main and outsourced processes in "Industry" so the form examples come close to real shop-floor values.
  • Revise the manual first, then the procedures, so terms and numbers stay consistent.
  • Always check "to be confirmed" items against the published standard. eiso does not carry the text of standards.

Cost

Prices are TBA on the English site; the amount is shown when you click "Write with AI", and you pay only if you agree. Standard Revision Response is charged per standard and covers the folder diagnosis, revisions and new documents. For a quote, see eiso Pricing.

Check your own company

  • Can you list which edition each quality document you use was written to?
  • Are risks and opportunities mixed together in one table?
  • Can you show where quality culture and ethical behaviour are covered in your policy or training?
  • Have you set a transition schedule against the 30 September 2029 deadline and your next audit date?
