This step sets objectives consistent with the company policy at the relevant functions and levels (departments and ranks). With objectives in place, you can confirm whether the management system is delivering results.
For each objective, it plans what will be done, the resources required, who is responsible, when it will be completed and how the results will be evaluated. As results, you receive a draft policy and a table of objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Note: the number beside the title is the basis clause. HS is the Harmonized Structure (the common clause layout used across ISO standards).
Output
- Draft policy (including the commitments for each standard)
- Table of objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs): formula, measurement frequency, responsible department, deadline
- Action plan for achieving the objectives
