Step 3. AI System Selection (4.1·6.1·8.1)

This step collects all work within the scope (including customary work that is not in documents) by project, department, division and process, and attaches AI only to work that exceeds the selection criteria score. Existing AI is extended first, and new development comes after.
You receive the Excel "AI Selection Table" (work list, six-axis evaluation, review of existing AI use, introduction priority, schedule plan).
When you specify a folder or file containing the job allocation table, organization chart, project list and process map, P1, P2 and P3 are determined on six axes (frequency of repetition, difficulty of judgment, cost of being wrong, data confidentiality grade, AI impact, degree of human oversight needed), and only work at or above the selection criteria score (100 points: frequency of repetition, difficulty of judgment, expected effect, cost of error, confidentiality grade, existing AI use) is selected.
For each selected task, existing AI use is reviewed in the order of extend as is → reuse derivatives → new development, and the introduction priority and schedule (phase, start, completion, person in charge) are set. Only the selected work moves on to 4 AI System Inventory and 5 AI Risk Assessment, and the Excel file is kept by unit and updated whenever work or practices change.

Output

  • Excel "AI Selection Table"Work list (job allocation and practices) · AI six-axis evaluation (selection score) · review of existing AI use · introduction priority (selected work only) · schedule plan
  • Order of promotionP1 extend as is → P1 reuse derivatives → P2 extend as is → P1 new development → P2 derivatives and new development, P3 on hold
  • Monthly promotion schedule and promotion structure (checking the utilization rate and completion rate of existing AI), kept by unit and updated (change history)

What to do in this step, by scope of application

DevelopmentSupplyUse
AI tasks to be developed (for internal work and for customer products) are evaluated on the six axes to set the priority for starting developmentAI products and services to be provided to customers (in-house developed, integrated, resold) are selected together with marketability and responsibilityExternal and in-house AI to be used for work is evaluated on the six axes by task, project and division to give P1 to P3

Previous steps: 1 AI Context Analysis · 2 AI Policy, Roles and Objectives · 9 Operational Control · 4 AI System Inventory · 16 Improvement · 10 Documented Information Control · The results of this step feed into: 4 AI System Inventory · 5 AI Risk Assessment

Role division: eiso prepares the plan and the form and document revision proposals for this step, and on your computer you collect, for each task, project and division, the work where AI is wanted and the current bottlenecks (this material serves as the base data). At your next operation, specify the AI Management System\03_AI System Selection folder (or file) and eiso will organize, analyze and consolidate the material. Materials to specify: the job allocation table and project list, the information classification criteria, and requests for AI use by division. (ICT Management System Operation Guide)
