This step manages the measuring equipment used for inspection and measurement so that it gives reliable values. As output you receive a measuring equipment control register and a calibration and verification plan.
Register the equipment used for monitoring and measurement, and manage it by setting calibration and verification intervals. If results were measured with equipment found out of calibration, evaluate whether those results are valid.
Note: the number next to the title is the basis clause. HS is the Harmonized Structure (the common chapter structure used by ISO standards).
Output
- Measuring equipment control register: control number / equipment / measuring range and resolution / process of use / calibration interval and body / next calibration date
- Calibration and verification plan and acceptance criteria
- Record of action when out-of-calibration equipment is found (evaluation of the validity of previous measurement results)
